NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PRIOPRIETORS OF PRIVATE SCHOOLS IFAKO-IJAIYE (NAPPS) CELEBRATES CHILDREN’S DAY 2015 AT AGEGE STADIUM
It is said that the greatest need of a person in life is the feeling of “being wanted” and “being noticed”. The thirst of being wanted is an unquenchable thirst found in every human being
It is particularly true in the case of children. They love
to be wanted, appreciated and shown affection. The Children’s Day celebrated all
over Nigeria on the 27th May of every year is an attempt in this regard.
The National Association of Proprietors of
Private School (NAPPS) Ifako-Ijaye which is endowed with A and B grade Schools came together on May 27th 2015 at Agege Stadium to celebrate this year Children’s day
A day
set aside by United Nations Children's Funds; with the purpose of focus on the
evaluation of the mental, physical and emotional development of our children as
it fulfill the Convention on the Right of a Child (CRC) such as right to
expression which edutainment can address, right to socio-cultural affiliation.
The event was designed in consonance with the principles and objectives of the
CRC.
The
event saw in attendance over 100 teachers, 50 Proprietors of private schools in
Ifako-Ijaiye axis and 4000 thousands students. It was a fulfilled events with
colourful match past from schools, soapy football competition, dance and
choreographic displays, bouncing castle etc.
There
were some corporate sponsors such has Golden Penny Flourmills Nigeria,
Honeywell Noodles, UBA Foundation that add values to the event as partners
The icing on the cake was the Face of
Ifako-Ijaiye beauty pageant among schools, and a popular Nigeria Artist (Sound
Sultan) came in as a spring surprise to identify with the pupils/student thus
making the event more electrifying
