SACRED HEART COLLEGE APAPA CELEBRATE THEIR BENNIAL HERITAGE AND CULTURAL DAY




The students of Sacred Heart College,  Apapa celebrated  their Biennial Heritage  Day, with the theme  “Promoting our Heritage” on 13th June 2015 in the school premises. The Students trilled their parents, teachers and friends as they showcased Nigeria’s rich Cultural Heritage laced with music, drama, parades and arts, not leaving out our rich customs and religion.








Dressed in their traditional attires representing different ethnic groups from the Six Geo-Political Zone in the country - South East, South South, South West, North Central, North West and North East. The students even prepared local delicacies from the different zones which was sampled by their parents and guests. The students proved their inclination to Nigeria cultures and traditions to the admiration of the teachers, guest and parents with their cultural performances












The events which was well attended by the representatives of the Ojora of Ijora land HRM Oba Fatai Aremu Aromire, the Royal Father of the Day, Chairman of the Day Chief Gabriel Nwosu Obioha II of Obiangwu,Ngor/Okpala LGA.Imo State, Special Guest of Honour Chief Engr. Gabby Dimude (Nnanyelugo of Achina) and other notable guests.





The School’s Administrator Sister Fidelia Mary Alao, EHJ explained the reason for the celebration which was to make students recognize their cultural values and retain their heritage for it to survive. She added that the event was targeted at ’Heritage Preservation and Promotion’ among the students. 

                               


 The event proved to be an enlightenment forum as the rich cultures of the Nigeria were fully in displayed.























It was indeed a memorable event.
