Master Idowu Sonoiki of Ikotun Senior High School, Ikotun
in Igando-Ikotun Local Development Area
of Lagos, became the One-Day Governor of Lagos State on Wednesday , 4thsNovember
,2015 after winning the Lagos State Spelling Bee Competition earlier in the
year.
The Lagos State Spelling Bee Competition was
initiated by the then first lady of Lagos State, Chief Senator (Mrs) Oluremi
Tinubu in year 2000.

The One-Day Governor’s itinerary started at about
8.00am, when he, his cabinet members, press crew and the Officials of Education
Quality Assurance Lagos State Ministry of Education were hosted by the First Lady of Lagos State Mrs
Bolanle Ambode at the Lagos State house

He then proceeded to The Corporate Headquarters
of ETISALAT in Banana Island, Dufil Prima Foods PLC makers of Indomie Noodles
in Surulere, and GlaxoSmithKline makers of Horlicks food
drinks in Ilupeju. The corporate bodies who partnered with the Office of
Education and Quality Assurance Lagos State Ministry of Education and the 20 Local Government Areas(LGAs) and
the 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) during the preliminaries and the
GrandFinale of the Spelling Bee Competition
held at Adeyemi Bero Hall Alausa Ikeja, where the One-Day Governor
Emerged after a stiff competition

After his visit to the corporate sponsors of the
event, he moved to the Head of Service compound/office to address the people.
He then proceeded further to the office of the Lagos State Ministry of
Education where he received the second tranche of his monetary reward alongside
other winners in the Primary Category.

He then proceeded to the Lagos House, Alausa to
meet the Lagos State Executive Council where he addressed the State Exco and
the Executive Governor of Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

He left the Lagos House for LTV8 and Eko FM for

The entourage then moved to Ikotun High school, Ikotun
the School of the One-Day Governor for a warm reception from his colleagues and
the school management, he addressed all the students and pupils of the school
appreciated them for their support.

The One Day Governor and his Cabinet then left for a planned reception in his
Local Council Development Area (LCDA)where he was been hosted by the Executive
Secretary Honorable Wale Azeez .
