CELEBRATING TOMORROW’S ICON




 
Chrisland School ,Opebi held her Valedictory Service/Speech &Prize Giving Day in honour of  the outgoing Primary School Pupils of  the School at the School’s Events Hall, with the theme :“Celebrating Tomorrow’s Icons.” On the 15th  July, 2015.





The Pupils impressed their Parents and Guests with their outstanding performances and they were rewarded for their abilities in many areas of disciplines such as in Sports, Arts, Singing etc. Also of importance are in the areas of outstanding awards in some subjects. Finally, special award for outstanding Pupils who represented the School at various level of competitions outside the school environment were also acknowledged.
 



Mrs Amao, who is the Head-Teacher of the School, thanked the School Management, Parents, and Teachers for their support through the academic session and hope for a successful academic succession a head, as the new session commences from September 2015.In her remarks to the Graduating Pupils, she further expressed her joy for the Pupils being good Ambassadors of the School. She stressed on some principles of Preparation for the good and the challenging times during the journey of striving for outstanding and distinct success in human life, with this Quoting from her speeches: “My Icons of tomorrow, I want you to know today that it wasn’t by mistake, that we picked the theme for this year’s graduation, It symbolizes Leadership which you are. You all exhibited leadership skills, it symbolizes courage, power, royalty, authority, dominion and ferocity. My point is, though no one can ever actually know the future.
Askio Day sang “Que Sera,Sera”, nobody knows the future, I want you to adopt  an attitude, I don’t want you to adopt an attitude of “Que,Sera,Sera”. I don’t know what the future holds. We can see trends and see the characteristics of events unfold, and how the coming word might look and feel, words like “turbulence”, “how come” “unpredictable”, “very difficult” may speak to your mind. So, I urge you to be leaders, wherever you find yourself and also to have courage to get things that may seem impossible even in your Secondary Schools”.














The Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Grant Onedo in his remarks, advised the Graduating Pupils to be determined, self-reliance, focused, patience, have integrity, and self- confidence. He charged the Pupils to believe in themselves and further ushered them to the next phase of their educational pursuit, with inspirational quotes and words.

Speaking at the same event was the Guest Speaker, the Deputy Governor of the State of Osun,  Otunba (Mrs.) Grace Titilayo Laoye-Tomori who praised the School Management, Pupils and Staff, she  tasked the Graduating Pupils to be the best in whatever they do and have a good character.


The Managing Director of Chrislands Schools Limited; Mrs.I.O. Adeyemi thanked the Guests, Parents, and the Teaching Staff and Non-Staff for a wonderful event, courage and support for the School.
